When Manly Pavilion launched their autumn menu recently, they asked me to pop down and shoot a few plates. And did we shoot a few plates! I can tell you, when amazing dishes upon amazing dishes were produced from the kitchen and set up for the shoot, the incredible smells and vibrant colours were so tempting, I don’t know how I didn’t set down the camera and just tuck in. These beautiful, warming dishes are being served up Manly style down by the wharf – insiders tip; choose a corner table in the Heritage room – stunning period features, a warm fire and views over the harbour. Ahhh. Loving Autumn.

    Ali & Andy

A beautiful spot on the Hawkesbury River, a stunning house with an architectural journey all of its own, a gorgeous couple and a few friends and family. This was Ali & Andy’s wedding – a simple, relaxed and beautiful day on the river that was filled with love, warmth and light. Such a privilege to share and capture such a special day.

I was lucky enough to be asked to shoot yet another Reed Gift Fair, this time closer to home in Sydney. It was HUGE! Just incredible how many exhibitors take part and go to so much effort to make their stands look stunning with their gorgeous products. Pumping with buyers, the aisles were packed and so much everywhere to shoot. Heaven! Thanks again Gift Team for all being so lovely.

I love Melbourne, but I especially loved visiting to shoot the Reed Gift Fair at the MECC. Packed to the rafters with gorgeous homewares, gifts, trinkets and treasures – awesome! The halls were packed with retail buyers too, which made for a buzzy, vibrant shoot. The team were also amazing and made me feel like one of the gang – thanks guys, you rock!

When Julia told me she wanted to do a shoot for some media photos and that she’d picked a salon for the location, I didn’t really know what to expect. When I arrived at Wild Life at Milsons Point, any reservations disappeared. The salon sits on the point, overlooking the beautiful harbour, the bridge and the famous house. Amazing light too. We laughed, smiled, snapped and soaked up the artistic creations at the award-winning salon. Thanks to Julia for being so sparkling and easy to work with.

I had the pleasure of spending a few hours this weekend with my stunning friend who is always keen to try out my shoot ideas. Previsualisation is what the great photographer George Speers calls it, and my, how it works. I had these sparks around Wednesday and was super excited to make them happen.

Thank you beautiful Kate for always being so vibrant, joyous and of course, gorgeous.

Take a beautiful December afternoon, sunlight that dripped like honey and a gentle breeze that played mischievously. Perfect conditions for a relaxed shoot with the beautiful Kate.

Whilst digging around in my wardrobe for inspiration I stumbled on a long lost love. Well, it wasn’t lost exactly, just buried at the back of the wardrobe. Easy done.

An embroidered midnight-bue silk jacket that I just adore and so reserve for special occasions. Silly really, it’s so beautiful it should be worn everyday. It gave me so much joy to find, and then to photograph.

We’ve had a lovely afternoon together.
